Barrel/Drum Heaters
Storing materials in drums and barrels can be problematic for all but the most shelf-stable products. Foods, chemicals, spray foam, epoxies, resins, and other industrial materials often have stringent temperature-range storage requirements. It’s important to store these chemicals at optimal temperatures. Effective drum and barrel heaters eliminate waste and lower costs that arise from damaged materials caused by improper storage. If these fragile materials spend time outside of the ideal temperature zone, the longevity can be drastically reduced, which results in and wasted product. This inflates costs and strains budgets.

General Info
Blanket Heaters are low watt density electrical resistance heaters that are designed for freeze protection as well as process temperature control applications. Optional pressure-sensitive adhesive makes installation easy. Heat from the blanket itself cures the silicone adhesive, creating a permanent bond. Applications include storage tanks, conveyors, water and feed troughs, dust collectors, tanks, trucks process vats, dip tanks, and melt pots. Please call (717) 630-2222 with any specifications, part numbers, model numbers, and other information such as wattage, voltage, heater length and width and lead type, with or without thermostat, lock up type, with or without adhesive, etc...and we will be happy to design a heater to match your needs.
Industrial Mica Strip Heaters
Mica strip heaters are only thick and .156" ideal for plate heating applications. Marathon strip heaters will operate up 900° F or to 1200° F with optional stainless steel sheath. This thin, low mass construction provides fast heat-up times.
General Info
Strip Heaters are economical heat sources, suitable for providing heat to flat surfaces. In order to avoid thermal expansion issues that detach mica strip heaters from the surfaces that they are applied to, strip heaters can be made to include several mounting holes or pressure plates that provide rigidity and improve heat transfer uniformity as well. Mica insulated strip heaters are available in many electrical termination styles, and within certain design limitations can accommodate holes and cut-outs. Industrial applications include packaging and sealing machines, food tables and warming equipment, plastic extruders, blow molding machines, ovens, hotplates, incubators, and more. Please call (717) 630-2222 with any specifications, part numbers, model numbers, and other information such as wattage, voltage, heater length and width and lead type, holes, etc...and we will be happy to design a heater to match your needs.
Finned Tubular Heaters
In applications where tubular heaters are exposed to forced convection, placing fins around tubular heaters increases their surface area and thus improves their heat transferring capacity. Finned tubular heaters, compared to regular tubular heaters, run at lower surface temperatures for the same watt densities when placed in identical air streams. Despite their advantages, finned tubular heaters are not recommended for applications where outlet air temperatures exceed 600°F.

Coil Heaters
When highly focused heat is required, and a very low profile is imperative, coil heaters are the best cost-effective option. Coil heaters may be used to concentrate the heat on specific segments, or the coil may be spread to equalize the temperature across the object to be heated. Marathon Viper Coil Heater Standard Features: Flexible Teflon lead wire, available with or without internal thermocouple, 1/8" x 1/8" element cross-section, Ground Wire, 36" Stainless steel braid over leads.
General Info
Coil and Cable Heaters are high-performance mini tubular heaters that have small rectangular, square or round cross-sections that are flexible and can acquire different shapes and configurations. The sheath material of standard cable heaters are stainless 304 and their heating core is coiled or straight solid Nickel Chrome wire. Cable heaters can transmit up to 35 W/in2 heating capacity and can attain up to 15000F surface temperature. Cable heaters could be coiled, to form coil heaters that are ideal whenever a large amount of heat is required in a confined space. Coil heaters have many applications but are mostly utilized as powerful heating cells inside hot runner nozzles in plastic injection molding. Coil and cable heaters can accommodate "J" type or "K" type thermocouple sensors that could be placed internally at the tip or the middle of a heater. They can be made as well to have profiled or distributed wattage configuration. The fine electrical terminals and thermocouple wires are attached to power and thermocouple leads inside a transition adapter which has a larger diameter than the actual heater’s cross-sectional diameter. Although coil heaters and cable heaters are fully annealed and can acquire any shape, they should be formed to a final shape in a single attempt. Forming and bending operations harden the outside stainless shell of a heater, and re-annealing might become necessary if changing the form is required. Please call (717) 630-2222 with any specifications, part numbers, model numbers, and other information such as wattage, voltage, heater diameter and length and lead type, etc...and we will be happy to design a heater to match your needs.

General Info
Mica drum heaters have a rugged construction, made to withstand harsh industrial environments. Available options include a latch and trunion fastener, an insulating jacket, and a bulb and capillary adjustable thermostat. Silicone drum heaters are made of layers of fiberglass reinforced silicone rubber sheets. When these sheets are vulcanized and bonded under heat and pressure, they form a material that can withstand industrial rough usage, and is highly flexible, durable and tough. Prior to vulcanization, the electrical resistance wire web and its protective metallic grid (which acts as an electrical ground) are carefully placed between the silicone layers. Silicone drum heaters are resistant to most chemicals, fungus and moisture, and can be easily cleaned. Indeeco TRIAD Washdown / Corrosion Resistant Unit Heater
The INDEECO TRIAD® unit heater is the perfect solution to the problem of heating people or equipment in non-hazardous environments where moisture and corrosion exist. Advantages of the TRIAD® include: Built-in Controls: All necessary safety and temperature controls are included in a single package. Components and motor are factory-wired to a single terminal block for field wiring, eliminating the chance for field error and reducing installation costs, Single Point Electrical Hook-up: Heater, fan motor and controls are all connected to the same branch circuit, Corrosion Resistant: Stainless steel construction, powder-coated aluminum fan blade and nonmetallic NEMA 4X terminal enclosure resist corrosion found in sewage treatment plants, swimming pool areas, car washes, paper mills and marine installations, Washable: This watertight construction can be hosed down without disconnecting the heater, which makes it ideal for coal handling areas, steel mills, foundries, ships, wood finishing plants, cement, sand, grain and food processing facilities.
General Info
Adding a fan to an electric air heater creates artificial air movement. This air movement allows for a more compact heater than the convection heater since rapidly moving air removes the heat from the heater surface more quickly. The forced air heater forces air over very long distances and is usually the choice for heating larger areas.
